Match clip length to where it is going

A clip built for one platform rarely works unchanged on another, since the audience, the scrolling speed, and the patience level are all different from place to place. I decide where a clip is going before I finish cutting it, then trim it to match, rather than making one version and posting the exact same file everywhere at once.

This matters because a length that feels natural in one place can feel far too long or oddly short somewhere else entirely. Posting the same untouched cut everywhere treats every platform like it works the same way, when the honest truth is that attention spans and habits shift depending on where someone is scrolling.

Try this today: before you finish your next clip, decide exactly where it is going first. Cut a version sized for that specific place rather than a single all-purpose length. If you plan to post it elsewhere too, trim a second version instead of reusing the same file everywhere without a second look.
