Test a new workflow on yourself first

Before a workflow touches a real client or a real order, run it on yourself. Send the test email to your own address, fill the test form with your own name, and watch every step happen the way you expect.

Skipping this step means the first real test happens live, in front of someone who has no idea they're part of an experiment. A workflow that looks right on paper can still send a message with the wrong name in it, or fire twice, or miss a step entirely — and you'll only catch that by watching it run, not by reading it. I always run it on myself first, because testing on yourself also lets you see the whole experience from the other side, which often reveals a tone or a timing issue you'd never notice from behind the scenes.

Give yourself permission to break it in private before anyone else ever sees it.

Try this today: run your newest workflow using your own name and your own email address, start to finish, before turning it on for real use.
