Name your footage so future you can find it
I used to lose good clips inside folders full of files named after the date and nothing else. Now every clip gets a short name that describes what is actually in it, so I can find a specific moment weeks later without replaying every single file. It sounds small, but it saves a real amount of searching over a stretch of months.
This matters because a repurposing system only works if you can find the material again later. A great line buried in an unlabeled file might as well not exist, since you will never go looking for it. Good naming turns your footage into something you can search instead of something you have to remember by memory alone.
Try this today: rename your last few recordings with a short description of the strongest moment inside each one, not just the date. Do the same for every new file going forward, even if it takes a minute longer. Your future self, hunting for a specific clip, will thank you.
