Confirm every submission the moment it comes in
When someone sends you a form, a file, or a payment, they want to know it landed. Silence after a submission makes people nervous, and nervous clients send follow-up emails asking whether you got it, which is more work for you than a quick automatic confirmation would have been in the first place.
A short auto-reply that says "got it, thank you, here's what happens next" closes that loop instantly. I've noticed this is one of the fastest ways to earn a client's trust early on. It costs you nothing once it's set up, and it removes an entire category of anxious check-in messages from your inbox before they ever get typed.
This matters most right after onboarding, when clients don't yet know your habits or your speed. Later in the relationship they'll trust your process more, but early on, a fast confirmation is what actually builds that trust.
Try this today: check whether your intake form, upload page, or payment link sends any kind of confirmation right now. If it stays silent, add one line that tells the person their submission was received.
