Split your recording days from your editing days

Recording and editing use completely different parts of my attention, and switching back and forth between them in the same sitting slows both down. I now keep separate days for each, one where I only record, and another where I only cut, caption, and post. Neither task interrupts the other one anymore.

This matters because jumping into editing mode right after recording, or trying to think creatively while your head is still in editing mode, wastes energy on the switch itself. Keeping the two apart lets you move faster through each one, since your attention stays in one mode the whole time you are working.

Try this today: look at your schedule for the week ahead and pick a day that is only for recording and a separate day that is only for editing and posting. Protect both days from mixing with the other task. Notice whether you move through each one faster once they stop competing for the same hour.
