Chase incomplete forms before they go cold
Someone starts your intake form, gets halfway through, and closes the tab. Life happens. Without a reminder, that half-finished form often just sits there, and the client quietly assumes you're already working when nothing has actually started on either side.
A short nudge sent after a little time passes brings a surprising number of these back to life. People aren't avoiding you on purpose — they got distracted, and a reminder gives them a clear reason to finish what they started instead of forgetting entirely. I remind myself of that every time I'm tempted to write off a stalled form as a lost client.
Keep the nudge light. A simple "looks like you didn't finish this, want to pick it back up" works better than anything that sounds like a scolding. The goal is to remove friction, not add guilt to someone's already busy day.
Try this today: check whether your intake form tracks who started but didn't finish, and if it does, send a short reminder to anyone stuck partway through.
