Keep a small set of formats you reuse

I do not invent a new structure every time I sit down to make something. I keep a short list of formats that already work, a problem and fix, a before and after, a quick list, a short story with a point at the end, and I pick one before I record. Having the shape decided ahead of time means I only have to fill in the content, not invent the container too.

This matters because starting from a blank format every time is exhausting and slows you down for no real benefit to the finished piece. Viewers do not need constant novelty in structure, they need a clear point delivered well, and a familiar shape actually helps them follow along faster than a new one.

Try this today: write down the handful of formats you keep going back to without realizing it. Pick one on purpose for your next piece instead of figuring out the structure from scratch. You will likely finish faster and the result will feel just as fresh.
