Build a repurposing checklist and use it
I used to finish a recording and stare at the raw file, unsure what to pull from it. Now I run through a short checklist every time: pull the transcript, mark the strongest line, cut a couple of short clips, write one caption, and note any leftover moments worth saving for later. The checklist does the deciding so I do not have to think from scratch each time.
This matters because a repeatable process beats motivation. On days I do not feel like editing, the checklist still tells me exactly what to do next, in order, without deciding anything new on the spot. That is what makes a system different from a habit you simply hope you keep up with.
Try this today: write down the exact steps you take from raw recording to published post, in order, even if it is only a handful of steps. Pin it somewhere you will see it during your next editing session. Follow it exactly once, then adjust it based on what felt missing.
