Build one editing workflow you reuse every time

Instead of deciding fresh each time which AI tools to use and in what order, writing down a fixed workflow, rough cut, then filler removal, then captions, then color, then a final review, turns editing into a repeatable process instead of a series of one-off decisions. That structure alone speeds up every video you make after the first one.

A written workflow also makes it far easier to hand editing off to someone else later, whether a hire or a tool that runs automatically, because the steps already exist somewhere outside your own head. I wrote mine down after noticing I made the same small decisions differently on every project. That is worth doing even if you plan to keep editing everything yourself for a while.
