Naming things the same way across tools saves headaches

I make sure a client, a project, or a product is called the exact same thing in every tool it appears in. It sounds like a small detail, but mismatched names across your stack quietly create confusion that costs real time to untangle.

This matters because when one tool calls a client by their full name and another shortens it, or a project gets one label in your calendar and a different one in your shared document, searching for information becomes guesswork. Someone ends up checking three places just to confirm they are looking at the same thing, and mistakes slip in when two records that should match end up looking unrelated.

Fixing this is not complicated, it just takes a shared habit. Agree on one naming pattern as a team and stick to it everywhere, from folders to spreadsheets to any tool that lets you label things freely.

Try this today: pick one client or project and check how it is named across every tool your team uses. Fix any mismatches now, and write down the naming pattern so future entries stay consistent.
