Where an idea lives before it is ready

Every idea goes through an early stage where it is half-formed, easy to talk yourself out of, and not something you would want anyone else seeing yet, including a cloud AI tool that stores your conversation somewhere out of sight. A local model gives that fragile stage somewhere safe to exist, a place to talk through a rough idea without the pressure of it going anywhere. I've talked more than one idea through with a local model before it was ready for anyone else, mine included.

Once an idea survives that first round of questioning and starts to take real shape, it is usually fine to move it into a cloud tool for sharper feedback or help writing it up properly. The private stage and the public stage of an idea do not need to happen in the same place.

Protecting that early, fragile stage is often what makes the difference between an idea that gets abandoned too soon and one that actually goes somewhere.

Try this today: take your next half-formed idea and talk it through with a local model before you show it to anyone or anything else.
