Test what happens if you go quiet for a day
This is a simple experiment: pick a day, tell your team you will be unreachable, and see what actually happens to the business while you are gone. Most founders assume the answer is disaster and never bother testing it.
The results of this test are usually humbling in a good way. Most things get handled just fine, a few things wait for you unnecessarily, and a small number genuinely needed you. That short list is worth knowing, because it tells you exactly where the real bottleneck sits. I ran this test on myself once, half expecting things to fall apart, and most of what I worried about handled itself just fine without me.
Try this today: pick a single upcoming day, tell your team ahead of time, and stay off messages for the full stretch. Write down afterward what actually broke, if anything, and fix only that.
