Ask a second person before big calls

Bringing in a second person before a major decision is not about losing authority, it is about catching blind spots one tired brain will always miss. A short conversation before you commit can save weeks of cleanup after a call goes wrong.

Founders who decide everything alone tend to move fast right up until they hit a mistake that a second set of eyes would have caught early. The habit of asking first is cheap. The habit of skipping it is not, once you count the cost of undoing a bad call. I have made the mistake of skipping this step when a decision felt obvious, and the ones that went sideways were almost always the ones I never said out loud to anyone first.

Try this today: before your next major decision, find one person whose judgment you trust and walk them through your thinking out loud. Notice what changes in your own thinking just from saying it to someone else.
