Small tools beat big platforms early on

When I'm solving a single business problem, I reach for a small tool built with Claude Code before I reach for a big platform with a dozen features I'll never touch. Small and specific beats broad and generic.

A big platform asks you to learn its whole system just to get one small job done, and you end up paying for and maintaining features you never use. A small tool built around your actual problem does one thing well, costs less mental effort to understand, and is easier to replace later if your needs change. Start small and only reach for something bigger once you've outgrown a few small tools.
