Give people permission to catch AI's mistakes
A quiet danger during any AI rollout is a team that assumes the tool is always right because it sounds so confident. I check for this constantly in my own work too, since a confident wrong answer is far easier to miss than an obviously broken one. Say clearly, out loud and more than once, that catching a mistake is a good thing and not a complaint about the tool or a sign someone did something wrong. People need to hear that questioning the output is expected, not something that slows the team down or looks difficult. Without that permission, small errors slide through unnoticed because nobody wants to be the one who raises a hand. Make it normal to flag a wrong answer in the same channel where wins get shared, so both sides of the story stay visible. A team that feels safe pointing out flaws will trust the tool more over time, not less, because they know someone is actually checking.
Try this today: tell your team directly that you want to hear about every AI mistake they spot this week, and thank the first person who brings one to you.
