Keep a swipe file of hooks that worked

I keep a running note of opening lines that made people stop and watch, whether they came from my own posts or ones I noticed elsewhere. When I am stuck starting a new recording, I read through that list first. I am not copying the words. I am studying the shape of the sentence, the kind of promise it makes, and the tension it sets up before it pays off.

This matters because a strong hook rarely comes from nowhere. It comes from having seen the pattern before and knowing what makes people curious. A swipe file turns hook writing into pattern matching instead of staring at a blank page hoping for a spark, which saves real time on days when nothing is coming to you naturally at all.

Try this today: open a plain note and write down the last few opening lines that made you personally stop scrolling. Read them back and notice what they have in common. Keep adding to that note every week, and check it before every recording until it becomes a habit.
