AI b-roll picks still need your eye

Some editing tools now suggest b-roll based on what your script or voiceover is talking about, pulling clips that loosely match the topic. It saves time compared to scrolling through a stock library by hand, and for simple explainer content it can get you most of the way to a finished sequence. That is genuinely useful when you are short on time.

Where it falls short is tone. A tool can match the word "growth" to a plant sprouting from soil, but it has no sense of whether that image fits your brand or feels tired. I've swapped out plenty of suggested clips that matched the words perfectly but felt wrong the second I watched them next to everything else. That judgment call still belongs to a person watching the cut.

Try this today: let an AI tool suggest b-roll for your next video, then go through each suggestion and swap out anything that feels generic or off-brand before you commit to the sequence. You keep the speed and still protect the feel of your work.
